Pick a strength you can stay on

Nicotine per pouch, measured in milligrams. UAE Standard UAE.S 5061 caps nicotine at 20 mg per pouch, so Spearmint sits at the legal ceiling for this market.

  • 6

    6 mg — Light

Where to begin. Enough to notice, easy to hold for the full session.

  • 12

    12 mg — Regular

For users already comfortable with pouches or other nicotine products.

  • 20

    20 mg — Strong

The maximum permitted per pouch in the UAE. Not a starting point.

Snap, place, feel, savour, discard

Five steps, once. After that it is muscle memory.

  1. Snap it open

Press and twist the lid. The can is child-resistant by design, so it needs both.

  2. Place one pouch

Between your upper lip and gum, off to one side. One at a time, never two.

  3. Feel it start

A tingle in the first minute is normal. It settles quickly and evens out.

  4. Leave it 20–40 min

Do not chew or swallow it. Let it sit. Take it out when the flavour goes.

  5. Discard it properly

The lid compartment holds used pouches until you reach a bin. Never the street.

Built in the Gulf, for how people here actually live

Snap launched in 2025 under Magic Gulf Tobacco Trading LLC. We started from a straightforward observation: a lot of adults in the UAE want nicotine without the smoke, the smell or the device, and the products on the shelf were mostly designed for Scandinavian palates and Scandinavian weather.

So we built the range around long-lasting cold, flavours that hold up in 45-degree heat, and packaging that meets UAE market requirements rather than being relabelled for it.

Everything we sell is made to UAE Standard UAE.S 5061 and carries bilingual labelling. We do not claim Snap is safe, and we do not sell it as a way to stop smoking.

More about Snap

Buying nicotine pouches in the UAE: what adults should know

Nicotine pouches moved from a legal grey area to a properly regulated category in the UAE over 2024 and 2025. If you are buying them in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or anywhere else in the Emirates, three things decide whether what you are holding is legitimate.

1. The product must be certified, not just imported

Tobacco-free nicotine pouches now require ECAS certification through the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the same route e-cigarettes take. The underlying technical standard is UAE.S 5061, which sets requirements for nicotine purity at pharmaceutical grade, a maximum pH of 9.1, permitted ingredients, water activity, shelf-life testing and packaging. A can that skipped this is not legal for sale here, regardless of how well known the brand is elsewhere.

2. The label has to be bilingual

Health warnings must appear in Arabic and English, nicotine content per pouch must be stated, and the can must be child-resistant and tamper-evident. If a can has no Arabic on it, it was not made for this market.

3. The seller has to be licensed

Buying from an unlicensed reseller or importing pouches by international courier is where most people get into difficulty. Customs treats unregistered nicotine products as seizable, and quantities beyond personal use get classified as commercial.

Pouches, snus and vapes are not the same category

Snus contains ground tobacco leaf. A nicotine pouch does not — it uses purified nicotine held in plant fibre, which is why it is described as tobacco-free. Vapes heat a liquid and produce an aerosol you inhale; a pouch produces nothing you inhale at all and needs no battery, no coil and no charging. That difference is why pouches are regulated under their own standard here rather than under the e-cigarette rules.

Choosing a first strength

Most people who are new to pouches are better served by 6 mg than by the strongest can on the shelf. A 20 mg pouch held for forty minutes delivers considerably more nicotine than a 6 mg one, and the usual result of starting too high is a headache, a racing pulse and an unpleasant first experience. Strength is not a measure of quality.

Storage in a Gulf climate

Heat is the real enemy of a pouch. Keep cans out of a parked car, away from direct sun and closed between uses. Moisture and flavour both degrade fast above roughly 30 degrees, which is why our own cans use a tighter seal than the European originals of this format.

Questions we get asked

If yours is not here, send it to us and we will answer it directly.

Are nicotine pouches legal in the UAE?

Yes, for adults aged 18 and over, when the product holds ECAS certification from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and meets UAE Standard UAE.S 5061 on purity, pH, ingredients and bilingual labelling. Buy from a licensed UAE retailer. Importing unregistered pouches by courier is not permitted.

What is actually inside a Snap pouch?

Pharmaceutical-grade nicotine, plant fibre as the carrier, food-grade flavouring, sweetener and stabilisers, inside a soft white sachet. No tobacco leaf. Nothing burns and nothing is heated, so there is no smoke, no ash and no vapour.

How long does one pouch last?

Between 20 and 40 minutes for most adults. Flavour and nicotine release gradually rather than all at once, and the flavour usually fades before the session ends — that is your signal to take it out.

Which strength should I start with?

6 mg. It is the lightest can we sell and the easiest to hold for a full session. Move to 12 mg only if 6 mg consistently does not do what you want. The 20 mg option sits at the maximum permitted per pouch in the UAE and is not a sensible starting point.

Will it stain my teeth or damage my gums?

Snap pouches are white and do not contain tobacco leaf, so they do not stain the way traditional snus does. Some users get gum irritation where the pouch sits, particularly at higher strengths. Rotating the placement side and not exceeding the recommended time helps. If irritation persists, stop using them and see a dentist.

Can I use Snap to quit smoking?

No. Snap is not a smoking cessation product, it is not licensed as one in the UAE, and we make no claim that it helps anyone stop. It contains nicotine, which is addictive. If you want to stop using nicotine altogether, speak to a doctor or contact a MOHAP-supported cessation service.

How should I store a can in Dubai heat?

Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight, lid closed, and never left in a car. Above roughly 30 degrees the pouches dry out and flavour drops off noticeably. An unopened can keeps best in a fridge; an opened one is fine at room temperature if you keep it sealed.

Do you deliver across the Emirates?

Yes, to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah. Delivery requires ID verification at handover confirming the recipient is 18 or over. We cannot leave nicotine products unattended and we cannot ship outside the UAE.

The whole range, honestly described.

Six flavours. Three strengths. Twenty pouches a can, AED 20 a can, tobacco-free throughout. Tasting notes below are ours, written without marketing adjectives where we could avoid them.

The mint range

Three different ideas of cold. If you are choosing your first can, choose from these.

6 mg per pouch · Light

Cool Mint

Straight peppermint oil with no fruit and no sweetness competing with it. The cold arrives in about thirty seconds and holds most of the way through the session, which is the main reason this is the can we sell most of.

Choose it if you have never used a pouch before, or you want something you can wear through a meeting without thinking about it.

20 pouches · slim format · AED 20

Find a stockist

20 mg per pouch · Strong

Spearmint

Rounder and sweeter than Cool Mint — spearmint reads closer to chewing gum than to toothpaste. It is also our strongest can, sitting at the maximum nicotine per pouch permitted in the UAE under UAE.S 5061.

Choose it if you are an established nicotine user and 12 mg is not holding you. It is a poor first pouch and we would rather you did not start here.

20 pouches · slim format · AED 20

Find a stockist

12 mg per pouch · Regular

Peppermint

The sharpest opening in the range. More menthol than Cool Mint and less sugar than Spearmint, so it hits hard in the first minute and then evens out. Popular with people who used to reach for strong mint gum.

Choose it if you want the cooling to be the point, not a background note.

The fruit range

    Blueberry

Dark cherry with a tart edge. Deliberately not cherry-cola sweet.

    AED 20 · 20 pouches

    Ice Cola

Cola spice, citrus and a cooling finish. The most divisive can we make.

Two pouches at once does not double the experience, it doubles the nicotine. One at a time, always. Read the full risk information.

Which Snap flavour should you buy first?

If you are standing in a shop in Dubai deciding between six cans, the shortest useful answer is Cool Mint 6 mg. It is the most neutral flavour in the range and the lightest strength, which means the two variables you cannot judge from the outside — how strong the nicotine feels and whether you like the taste — are both set to their safest position.

A note on flavour and heat

Flavour intensity in a nicotine pouch depends on moisture, and moisture does not survive a car dashboard in Dubai in August. If a can tastes flat, temperature is usually the reason rather than the batch. Keep cans sealed, indoors and out of the sun, and an unopened can will hold for its full shelf life.

Availability

Stock moves quickly on the 6 mg cans and on Ice Cola. If a flavour shows as unavailable, it is a supply gap rather than a discontinuation — ask us and we will tell you when it is back and which stockists have it.

Your first pouch, in five steps.

Nobody is born knowing how to use one of these. It takes about forty seconds to learn and you only need to read this once.

  1. Snap it open

Press the lid down and twist at the same time. Both actions are needed because the can is child-resistant by design.

  2. Place one pouch

Between your upper lip and gum, pushed to one side. One pouch at a time. Close the can straight away.

  3. Feel it start

A tingle or slight burn in the first minute is normal and settles within two or three. It is stronger on your first ever pouch.

  4. Leave it 20–40 minutes

Do not chew it and do not swallow it. Let it sit still. When the flavour fades, the session is over.

  5. Discard it properly

The lid compartment holds used pouches until you find a bin. Never the pavement, never a drain, never a plant pot.

Getting it right

One at a time

Two pouches do not give you twice the flavour, they give you twice the nicotine. That is the single most common mistake new users make and the usual cause of a headache, nausea or a racing pulse.

Move it around

Keeping every pouch in the same spot for months tends to irritate the gum there. Alternate left and right. If soreness does not clear up after a few days off, stop and see a dentist.

Eat and drink normally

You can drink water with a pouch in. Hot drinks speed up how fast the flavour goes, and carbonated drinks can loosen the pouch. Eating with one in is awkward rather than dangerous — take it out first.

Know when to stop for the day

Dizziness, a fast heartbeat, sweating, a headache or feeling sick means you have had more nicotine than you want. Take the pouch out, drink water and leave it for the rest of the day. Next time, use a lower strength.

What not to do

  • Do not chew or swallow the pouch. It is designed to stay intact against your gum.
  • Do not sleep with a pouch in. You lose track of the time and risk choking.
  • Do not reuse a pouch. Once the flavour is gone, the pouch is finished.
  • Do not share a can. Both for hygiene and because you cannot verify the other person's age.
  • Do not use pouches alongside other nicotine products in the same session. Stacking a pouch on top of a cigarette or a vape is how people overshoot.
  • Do not leave a can in a hot car. Heat dries the pouches out and flattens the flavour permanently.

Where you can use them

Nicotine product use is restricted in public places across the UAE, and individual emirates and venues set their own rules on top of that. A pouch produces no smoke or vapour, but that does not exempt it. Check the venue, and when in doubt, do not.

Read the full risk and eligibility information before your first pouch.

Still deciding on a strength?

The strength guide explains what 6, 12 and 20 mg per pouch actually mean, and which flavours come in which.

Open the strength guide

A Gulf brand, not a relabelled import.

Snap was built in Dubai in 2025 because the pouches on sale here were designed for somewhere else.

Why we started

Nicotine pouches were invented for Scandinavia. The format, the strengths and the flavours all reflect that: heavy mints, cold climates, a market that had used snus for a century already.

Then the category arrived in the Gulf, mostly as cans relabelled for export. Flavour dropped off in the heat. Strengths started at levels that made no sense for someone whose reference point was a shisha session or a pack of Marlboro Lights. And almost nothing in the packaging or the language spoke to anyone here.

Snap started from the opposite direction: a UAE product first, built to UAE requirements, tuned for a market where a car interior hits sixty degrees in July.

What we hold ourselves to

Four commitments. They are also the four things we would want to know if we were buying.

  • Made to the UAE standard

Our pouches are produced to UAE.S 5061 — pharmaceutical-grade nicotine, controlled pH, tested shelf life, permitted ingredients only.

  • Adults only, enforced

Age verification online and at delivery. No sampling to non-users, no marketing built to appeal to anyone under 18.

  • No claims we cannot stand on

We do not call Snap safe, healthy or a way to quit. It contains nicotine, nicotine is addictive, and we say so on every page.

  • Built for the heat

A tighter seal and a reformulated moisture system, because a can that spends its life at 40 degrees is the normal case here, not the edge case.

Important information.

Risks, eligibility and the regulatory position of Snap products in the United Arab Emirates. Please read this before you buy or use a pouch.

Nicotine and addiction

Snap pouches contain nicotine. Nicotine is a highly addictive substance. It raises heart rate and blood pressure, and dependence can develop quickly. Snap products are not risk-free. The only way to avoid all risk associated with nicotine is not to use nicotine at all.

Snap is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or use other nicotine products. If you do not currently use nicotine, do not start.

Snap is not a smoking cessation product

Snap is not licensed, approved or sold as a smoking cessation aid, a nicotine replacement therapy or a medical product in the UAE, and we make no claim that it helps anyone stop smoking or reduce harm. If your goal is to stop using nicotine, speak to a doctor or a Ministry of Health and Prevention supported cessation service.

Do not use Snap if you

  • are under 18 years of age
  • are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding
  • do not currently smoke or use nicotine or tobacco products
  • are allergic to nicotine or to any ingredient declared on the can
  • have high blood pressure, an unstable heart condition, or diabetes
  • have been advised by a doctor to avoid nicotine for any reason

If you have any medical condition or take prescription medication, ask a doctor or pharmacist before using a nicotine product.

Side effects you may notice

Common effects include a tingling or burning sensation where the pouch sits, gum irritation, increased saliva, hiccups and a dry mouth. Using a strength that is too high, or more than one pouch at a time, can cause headache, dizziness, nausea, sweating or a rapid heartbeat. If that happens, remove the pouch, drink water, and use a lower strength next time. Persistent gum soreness or a sore that does not heal should be seen by a dentist.

Keep away from children and pets

Snap cans are child-resistant, but they are not childproof. A single pouch can cause serious nicotine poisoning in a child or an animal. Store cans out of sight and out of reach, keep the lid closed, and never leave loose pouches on a table or in a bag pocket. If a child or pet swallows a pouch, seek medical or veterinary help immediately and take the can with you so the nicotine content can be read off the label.

Disposal

Used pouches go in the lid compartment of the can and then in a bin. Do not drop them in the street, in a drain, on a beach or in a plant pot — a discarded pouch still contains nicotine and is a hazard to children, animals and cleaning staff.

Regulatory position in the UAE

Tobacco-free nicotine pouches are a regulated product category in the United Arab Emirates. The framework that applies to Snap includes:

Regulatory requirements applying to nicotine pouches in the UAE
AreaRequirement
Technical standardUAE Standard UAE.S 5061 for tobacco-free nicotine pouches: pharmaceutical-grade nicotine, maximum pH 9.1, controlled water activity, prohibited-substance list, shelf-life testing
ConformityECAS certification administered by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), which absorbed ESMA in 2020
Nicotine contentCapped per pouch under the standard and declared on the can
Minimum age18 years, verified online and at point of sale or delivery
LabellingHealth warnings in Arabic and English, ingredient and nicotine declaration
PackagingChild-resistant closure and tamper-evident seal
TaxFederal excise duty and VAT apply; digital tax stamp requirements are enforced by the Federal Tax Authority
Public useRestricted in public places; individual emirates and venues apply their own rules
Health claimsMarketing a nicotine product as a medical or cessation aid without MOHAP approval is not permitted

Buying nicotine pouches from an unlicensed seller, or importing them into the UAE by international courier, carries a real risk of seizure and penalty. Buy from licensed UAE retailers only.

Marketing and age

We restrict our own communications to audiences that can be verified as 18 and over, do not use imagery, characters or platforms aimed at young people, and do not sample to people who are not already nicotine users. If you see Snap material that appears to be targeted at minors, report it to us and we will take it down.

Counterfeits

If a can carries no Arabic warning text, no declared nicotine content, or no conformity marking, it was not made for the UAE market and we cannot vouch for what is in it. Genuine Snap cans are bilingual, sealed and marked. When in doubt, send us a photo of the can and the batch code.

Questions

Anything on this page that is unclear, ask us directly through the contact page. If you need clinical advice about nicotine and your own health, that has to come from a doctor rather than from us.

This page summarises the regulatory framework as we understand it and is provided for information. It is not legal advice. Regulations change — the current authorities are the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and the Ministry of Health and Prevention. Last reviewed August 2026.
